Hi there,
I’m Taliah, the founder of Kosher Wellness. In the summer of 2013, I faced a challenging diagnosis: not one, but two autoimmune diseases—Lupus and Hashimoto’s Disease. Autoimmune disorders are complex and often baffling to medical researchers, as the body mistakenly attacks its own cells rather than harmful invaders.
Lupus can affect various parts of the body, including skin, joints, and major organs like the kidneys, lungs, and heart, causing widespread inflammation. Similarly, Hashimoto’s targets the thyroid gland, leading to symptoms such as fatigue and weight gain. Despite my struggles with these conditions, conventional treatments offered little relief; they felt like temporary fixes to deeper, ongoing issues.
In an odd way, I am grateful for my health crisis. It ignited a passion for reevaluating my health, particularly the American diet’s role in our wellbeing. Processed and carb-heavy foods are major inflammation triggers, exacerbating autoimmune symptoms. My journey into dietary research revealed that what we eat significantly impacts our health.
Embracing a kosher diet was transformative. Making mindful changes to my eating habits and lifestyle choices played crucial roles in my recovery and overall health optimization. My faith not only offered comfort but also guided my dietary and lifestyle decisions, helping me embrace a holistic approach to wellness.
Here’s how I manage my Health:
Look around; the key to achieving wellness might be closer than you think. Extensive resources are available to help you harness your inner strength and heal. I don’t restrict myself to vegan, vegetarian, or ketogenic diets; instead, I focus on a balanced, wholesome diet that supports gut health and reduces inflammation.
I invite you to join me at Kosher Wellness, where my journey to a richer, healthier, happier life could offer guidance and inspiration for your own path. Welcome, and let’s explore wellness together.
